Histola Research Ltd, a privately held company focused on research based HSE (Health-Safety-Environment) services, has strengthened its financial position by welcoming the new investor, Optiopaja Oy, to the company.

Histola will use this funding for the ongoing scale-up of new laboratories for microbiological research and ecotoxicology as well as for international sales and marketing. Current GLP-level laboratories are for in vitro cell based studies and testing and for histotechnological research and testing.

Optiopaja Ltd is a Finnish-owned private equity house specializing in small and mid-sized businesses. Their portfolio companies operate in a wide variety of fields from health care services to paper processing.
