Kimmo Tolvanen

Kimmo Tolvanen

Kimmo Tolvanen (born 1975) is one of the most interesting and distinctive artists in Kettuki Art Centre (www.kettuki.fi). Kettuki started an art group for painting in Hämeenlinna in 2004. Kimmo Tolvanen participated because he has always been interested in new things. Kimmo stayed in the group and has been painting ever since. He has also studied for one year in the art class KUVA at the Perttula Special Vocational School. Kimmo's art teacher was the painter Ahti Isomäki.

Kimmo Tolvanen has participated in more than 20 collective exhibitions organized by Kettuki Art Centre. During the last two years Kimmo's works have also been seen in Reykjavik (Iceland), Arvika (Sweden), Glasgow (Scotland), and Melbourne (Australia). Kimmo Tolvanen's first private exhibition was seen in the Arx Gallery in Hämeenlinna in the summer 2010.

Talking about his painting, Kimmo says: I like to paint. When I paint, I leave a trace. It is important. My biggest dream is to become a professional artist, and make art every day.”
