FFPE tonsilla section is stained using p63 (4A4) antibody and polymer based amplification method. Typically the p63 antigen is highly expressed in the basal or progenitor layers of many type of epithelial tissues. The p63 antigen is located in nucleus and in humans is encoded by the TP63 gene. FFPE liver section stained with E-cadherin (HECD-1) antibody and polymer based HRP-DAB detection. E-cadherin (encoded by CDH1 gene) is expressed predominantly in epithelial tissues and it is a calcium dependent transmembrane cell adhesion molecule. Androgen receptor of FFPE prostata stained with AR (N-20) antibody and polymer based HRP-DAB detection. The androgen receptor (AR) is trancription factor and a member of the steroid superfamily. Functions of the AR is in the nucleus. Frozen section of rat brain stained with GFAP (Z0334) and polymer amplification. GFAP is a glial fibrillary acidic protein which is specific for astrocytes and ependymal cells in the central nervous system (CNS). Liver (FFPE) stained with CD68 (KP-1) antibody. CD68 molecules are highly expressed by blood monocytes and macrophages. CD68 antibody detects Kupffer cells of liver. Kupffer cells are specialized macrophages of liver. Colon (FFPE) stained with CK-20 (Ks20.8) antibody. Cytokeratin (CK) has significant role in maintaining keratin filament organization and it expressed predominantly in the intestinal epithelium and luminal cells of colonic mucosa.
