The interface between engineered nanoparticles/nanomaterials and biological systems has recently attracted widespread interest. Nanoparticles are being incorporated into industrial products and will inevitably at some stage in their product life get into intimate contact with living cells and environment. There is a great need for developing methods to study the effects and reactions of the engineered nanomaterials related possible risks to humans and the environment.

Histola Research Ltd is developing together with academic research partners risk assessment methods based on the monitoring and analysis of human cell cultures and biological models. Histola Research is working intensively to find the best existing risk assessment practices for clients nanomaterials and products.
